The representatives of Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency of the Republic of Korea visited Shchelkovo Biocombinat

December 13, 2017 the delegation of Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency of the Republic of Korea visited Shchelkovo Biocombinat in order to audit the company for the supply of FMD vaccine to the Republic of Korea, as well as discuss diagnostics, prevention and control of dangerous animal diseases.

The managers of enterprise made a presentation about Shchelkovo Biocombinat for the representatives from the Republic of Korea. The presentation contained detailed information about the structure of the enterprise, the quality control of vaccines, compliance with GMP standards, the benefits of Shchelkovo FMD vaccines and recommendations for the selection of effective strains that suitable for the current epizootic situation in the Asian region. The parties discussed cooperation in the field of animal health and FMD prevention, focusing on the selection of a strategy for fighting FMD in the region.

As a result of the meeting, cooperation agreements have been reached between Shchelkovo Biocombinat and the representatives of the Republic of Korea in monitoring the epizootic situation of foot and mouth disease in Asian countries for the timely supply of FMD vaccines in order to ensure the veterinary favourable environment of the Republic of Korea.
