Extended session of senior management

On October 8, 2013,  prior to the 15-th Russian Agricultural Exhibition Golden Autumn – 2013,  Schelkovo Biocombinat held an extended session for the senior executives of the government agencies in charge of veterinary control and Rosselkhoznadzor bodies.

During the meeting the experts discussed current issues related to the activities of the Russian State Veterinary Service, in particular law drafting  initiatives and anti-epizootic measures. Additionally, directors of the regional veterinary services presented their current activities and plans for the future.

The key presentation was made by the principal speaker Svetlana Dresvyannikova, acting Director of the Veterinary Department at the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. She highlighted the main milestones of the anti-epizootic program, conducted by her agency, as well as legislative initiatives in the veterinary field, aimed to ensure epizootic well-being in the country.

During the meeting the delegates discussed legislative initiatives and monitoring in the veterinary field, they also talked about epizootic situation in Russia in 2013 and assessed performance of  the Rosselkhoznadzor regional bodies. Executive directors of Ulyanovsk and Tomsk regions, Udmurtskaya Republic, Krasnodarskiy Krai and  Bashkortostan Republic reported about measures conducted in their regions. Grigory Bacherikov, Acting Director of Shchelkovo Biocombinat, also made a report. 

At the end of the session the participants were shown around the factory’s existing production facilities and facilities that would be commissioned in the near future.
