Purpose:
The vaccine is intended for the prevention of swine circovirus infection caused by the circovirus of the second type, in farms that are unfavorable and threatened by this infection.
Description and characteristic:
In appearance, the vaccine is a homogeneous emulsion from white to light-pink color. The detachment of the oil fraction of the adjuvant in the upper part of the bottles is allowed during long-term storage, the uniformity of which is easily restored upon shaking. The vaccine is manufactured from the BEI-inactivated porcine circovirus type 2 of the strain “PCV2/SHBC” (50%) with an addition of oil adjuvant.
Method of vaccination:
The vaccine is injected intramuscularly in the neck area behind the ear. Pigs are vaccinated starting from the age of three weeks at a dose of 2.0 cm3. Boars are vaccinated 2 times a year at a dose of 2.0 cm3. Vaccination of pregnant sows and replacement gilts is carried out according to the scheme: the first vaccination is carried out twice, with an interval of 3-4 weeks so that the second injection was carried out no later than 2 weeks before mating or farrowing at a dose of 2.0 cm3. Revaccination of pregnant sows is carried out once, not later than 2-4 weeks before each subsequent farrowing in a dose of 2.0 cm3.
Immune response:
The vaccine triggers an immune response toward the porcine circovirus type 2 on the 21 day after use, which persists for up to 6 months.
Production form:
The vaccine is packaged into 4; 10; 20; 50; 100; 200 cm3 (2; 5; 10; 25; 50; 100 doses) bottles of suitable capacity.
Storage and transportation conditions:
The vaccine is stored and transported in a dark place at a temperature from 2 to 8°С.
Shelf life - 15 months.
