Purpose
Prophylactic vaccination against Aujeszky's disease in pigs of all age groups in favorable, threatened, and unfavorable farms for the disease.
Description and characteristics
The vaccine appears as a dry porous mass of light brown color with a yellowish or reddish hue. The vaccine is made from a culture fluid containing an attenuated strain of Aujeszky's disease virus, marked by glycoprotein gE, with the addition of a sucrose-peptone-gelatin stabilizer.
Method of vaccination
The vaccination dose is 2 cm3 and does not depend on the gender, weight, and age of the animals. One vaccination dose of 2 cm3 of vaccine contains the Aujeszky's disease virus with a biological activity of no less than 5.5 lg TCID50/cm3.
Immune response
The vaccine induces the formation of specific antibodies to the Aujeszky's disease virus in vaccinated animals within 7 days and reaches its maximum by the 21st day after vaccination. The duration of immunity lasts for at least 4-6 months.
Production form
The vaccine is packaged in 2 cm3 (2-200 doses); 4 cm3 (4-400 doses); 10 cm3 (10-1000 doses) glass vials of appropriate capacity.
Storage and transportation conditions
In a light-protected place at a temperature of 2°C to 8°C.
Shelf life - 24 months.
