Virus vaccine from the strain “Bor-74 VGNKI” against Newcastle disease dry
Purpose:
The vaccine is intended for prevention of the Newcastle disease in breeding farms and commercial poultry farms of various line of farming.
Description and characteristic:
In appearance, the vaccine is a dry porous mass of light-yellow or light-brown color, easily soluble in distilled water or physiological saline.
The vaccine is produced from extraembryonic liquid of SPF-chicken embryos infected with the attenuated Newcastle disease virus the strain “Bor-74 VGNKI”.
Method of vaccination:
The vaccine could be applied by intranasal way (ocular way), enteral way (with drinking water) or by the aerosol method or the method of large-drop spraying (spray-method). Starting date of vaccination is established based on the level of maternal antibodies in chickens of 7-10-day-old, testing at least 25 samples of blood sera of poultry placed in one poultry house (room) in the hemagglutination-inhibition test or the ELISA. The vaccination should be implemented if 20% of the sera samples or more have the titer of antibodies towards the Newcastle disease virus in the hemagglutination-inhibition test below 1:8 or in the ELISA it is lower than the double positive. If 80% of the sera samples and more have the titer of antibodies towards the Newcastle disease virus in the hemagglutination-inhibition test 1:8 and above, and in the ELISA it two and more times exceeds the positive value, poultry should be examined again every 3-5 days and in the case of easing of the immune response till 80% vaccination should be implemented.
Immune response:
The vaccine provokes the formation of immune response in poultry toward the causative agent of Newcastle disease at 7-8 days after single application. The immune response has a duration of 1.5-2 months.
Production form:
The vaccine is packaged into 1-6 cm3 (100-9000 intranasal doses) bottles of suitable capacity.
Storage and transportation conditions:
The vaccine is stored and transported in a dark place at a temperature from 2 to 8°С.
Shelf life -12 months.
