Dry Complement for the Complement Fixation Test (CFT)

Purpose:

Used as a component in the formulation of complement fixation test (CFT) in the diagnostics of various infectious diseases of farm animals.

Description and characteristic:

In appearance, the complement is a dry porous mass of white or pink color, readily soluble in distilled water, without the formation of flakes and sediment.

The test consists of blood serum of guinea pigs, stabilized with magnesium sulphate and dried by lyophilization method.

Application:

Complement has an ability to bind to antigen-antibody complex, has no hemolytic activity.

Complement titration is carried out before each statement of test.

Complement is titrated the hemolytic system in accordance with the instructions for setting CFT in the diagnostics of a diseases.

The basic solution of the complement and its dilution are prepared immediately before use and formulation of the test.

Production form:

Complement is packaged into 2 cm³bottles of suitable capacity.

Storage and transportation conditions:

Complement is stored in a dry dark place at a temperature of 2 to 8°C.

Shelf life - 36 months.
