Test kit system for diagnostics of brucellosis of animals in the agglutination test, complement fixation test and prolonged complement fixation test
Purpose:
Serologic diagnostics of animal brucellosis in agglutination test, component fixation test and prolonger component fixation test.
Description and characteristic:
The kit system components are:
- antigen is a nontransparent liquid of a gray-white colour with the sediment of microbial cells formed at storage, homogenized at shaking;
- dry brucellosis and negative sera look like a lyophilized mass of a beige colour, dissolved in distilled water or physiological solution within 3 min with a formation of transparent liquid of a light-yellow colour.
The kit includes the following components:
- brucellosis antigen universal for the agglutination test, complement fixation test and prolonged complement fixation test. It is a suspended matter of heat-inactivated and phenol-inactivated brucellas of species abortus in 0.85% solution of sodium chloride with 0.5% phenol;
- dry brucellosis serum is a blood serum of bulls (oxen) hyperimmunized by a culture of brucellas of species abortus;
- dry negative blood serum of cattle
The test system is used for testing 300 samples of animal blood sera.
Method principle:
S-brucellosis antigen in agglutination test, component fixation test and prolonger component fixation test interacts with homologous agglutinating and/or component fixing antibodies in blood serum of animals diseased with brucellosis or immunized with brucellosis agglutinating vaccines, with agglutination assay and/or component fixation.
Production form:
The antigen in portions of 10 cm3 and sera in portions of 4 cm3 are packed in bottles of suitable capacity.
Storage and transportation conditions:
The test-system should be stored and transported in a dry dark place at a temperature from 2 to 8°C. Transportation of the test-system is allowed at a temperature not above 20°C for no longer than 7 days.
Shelf life - 24 months.
