Kit for the diagnosis of Equine Infectious Anemia with the agar gel Immunodiffusion (AGID test)
Purpose:
The kit is used for the laboratory diagnosis of Equine infectious anemia (EIA) for the detection of specific precipitating antibodies to EIA virus in serum by Agar Gel Immunodiffusion (AGID) test.
Description and characteristic:
The kit contains:
- 1 bottle of antigen EIA (specific precipitating);
- 3 bottles of serum specific precipitating;
- 1 bottle of boric acid (1.65 g weight hitch);
- 1 bottle of sodium hydroxide, 3%, the volume of 10 cm3;
- 1 bottle of agar "Difco" (weight hitch 1.5 g.)
The method is based on the detection of specific precipitating antibodies in sera of horses with acute, chronic and latent course of infection.

In accordance with the direction for use.
Production form:
The components of the kit are packed in bottles with a capacity of 10 cm3, stowed in polystyrene boxes. One kit is used for testing 90-120 samples of horses serum.
Storage and transportation conditions:
The test system is stored and transported in a dry dark place at a temperature of 2 to 8°C. It is allowed to transport the kit at a temperature of up to 20°C for no longer than 5 days.
Shelf life - 24 months.
